Having captured Dasmariñas, south of Manila, Spanish General José Lachambre was heavily reinforced and took 15,000 men against Revolutionary leader Emilio Aguinaldo at the Imus. In brutal fighting -with 250 Spanish and 400 rebels killed, including Aguinaldo’s brother Crispulo- the entrenched positions were taken at bayonet point. Aguinaldo fell back on Naic.
