Hussite leader Jan Zizka marching south from Prague towards his fortified position at Tabor was attacked by Catholic Royalists at Sudomer (modern Sudomerice). Despite costly Taborite losses, including Lord Benek of Skala killed,  the Barons were heavily defeated. Within months Zizka had won again at Porici and against King Sigismund himself at Vitkov Hill.
