When Sigismund of Hungary invaded to seize Bohemia and threatened Prague, the city sent for help from the Hussite Jan Zizka at Tabor. A Royalist force under Pipo Spano (Count Filippe de Scolari) and Wenceslas of Duba intercepted the approaching Hussites near Porici, on the Sásava, south of Prague. However, they were heavily defeated and Zizka entered the capital next day.
