Despite Imperial defeats at Vitkov Hill and Zatec, Sigismund of Hungary led a third expedition into eastern Bohemia and drove the Hussite Jan Zizka out of Kutna Hora, southeast of Prague. In a brilliant counter-offensive, Zizka soon attacked and routed the Imperial army at Nebovidy, three miles to the northwest. Sigismund then retreated southeast through Habry to Nemecky Brod.
