Venetian forces intervening to support the Zakarija Dynasty in northern Albania seized Danj fortress, where they were besieged by George Kastriote Skanderbeg. The Albanian commander defeated a relief force at the nearby Drin (July 1448), but with Turkey threatening after victory at Svetigrad he made peace with Venice and soon repulsed the Turks at Dibra.
